Sixth Pretty Cure Series Confirmed

Japanese retail solicitations for upcoming children’s toys from Bandai have inadvertently confirmed the existence of an upcoming sixth series in the popular “Pretty Cure” line of magical girl anime shows. The current Yes! Precure 5 GoGo! television series will end in January, to be replaced on February 1st by presently untitled new series. The fact that toy solicitations refer to un-named new characters suggests that the new Precure series will launch a new continuity with an entirely new cast and storyline.

The first two Precure series featured an initial cast and storyline. The third television series introduced an entirely new cast and continuity. The fourth television introduced the franchise’s third set of protagonists.
