Sentai Acquires More Koihime Musou & AkaSaka
Sentai Filmworks has announced its acquisition of the second and third seasons of the Koihime Musou television series, Shin Koihime Musou and Shin Koihime Musou: Otome Tairan, and the 2008 harem comedy television series Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka (“AkaSaka”).
The subtitled Shin Koihime Musou DVD collection will contain all 12 episodes plus the OVA and retail at $49.98 beginning March 1, 2011.
The Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka complete collection will contain all 12 episodes plus the OVA and retail at $49.98 beginning March 8, 2011.
Shin Koihime Musou: Otome Tairan will be released in May 2011.
I’m just gonna keep my mouth shut on this one.

I’m not shy about admitting I have no problem with the gratuitous T&A that frequently comes from V.N. being turned into non-H anime, but none of these will be gracing my shelves any time soon.
It’s kind of sad that I look at those two promo images side-by-side and think that you could swap all the characters out between them and not really tell the difference, even though they’re done by 2 different groups for both the V.N. and the anime.
They all look the same; it’s so painful. In any case, what’s the deal with Section23’s funky balance of nifty action/drama titles with a gaggle of titles that just pander…
