Sega Out To Stop Piracy

Sega’s recently released (in Japan) pink Sakura Wars Dreamcast console is an upgraded version of the system that will play music CDs and official Sega approved GD-ROM discs but will not register any standard CD-ROM software, including pirated and home-made CD-R copies of games, the current Dreamcast Gameshark, and potentially the Bleamcast emulator software. Most likely, Sega will soon cease manufacturing the current model Dreamcast in favor of the new, more “bootleg-proof” version.
