Sammy Announces New Games

At the recent 41st JAMMA Show in Japan, video game developer Sammy made a number of major announcements.

Sammy announced an upgrade to its arcade hardware called the “Atomiswave-Net” (AW-NET) system. The AW-NET system is based on Sega’s Dreamcast hardware. SNK Playmore will be officially developing future arcade titles on Sammy AW-NET system including possibly a 3D King of Fighters game.

Production is underway on a tentatively titled “Sammy vs. Capcom” arcade fighting game. Based on early hints, the game may basically be Guilty Gear vs. Vampire characters.

Sammy also revealed Guilty Gear Isuka, the first 4 player simultaneous version of arcade hit Guilty Gear.
