Sailor Moon Seasons 1 & 2 Going Out of Print in America

AD Vision has officially announced that Toei Animation of Japan (“the creators of the program”) “have decided against continuing the availability” of the first two seasons of Sailor Moon animation in North America. Both the edited, English dubbed and uncut subtitled Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon R DVDs will officially go out of print in America on April 1st. Copies will remain on sale from retailers while supplies last.

There has been no word on whether this moritorium on North American distribution of Sailor Moon anime will eventually include Geneon’s distribution of seasons 3 & 4.
