Sailor Moon Crystal Teaser Released

The homepage for next month’s Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal television series has added its first teaser. Suite Precure director Munehisa Sakai is helming the new adaptation of Naoko Takeuchi’s 1992 Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon manga. Voice actress Kotono Mitsuishi will reprise her role as Sailor Moon. Hisako Kanemoto takes over Aya Hisakawa’s portrayal of Sailor Mercury. Sailor Mars, previously played by Michie Tomizawa, will now be played by Rina Satou. Ami Koshimizu takes over Emi Shinohara portrayal of Sailor Jupiter. Shizuka Itou takes over Rica Fukami’s previous performance as Sailor Venus. Ryou Hirohashi takes over Keiko Han’s portrayal of Luna. And Mamoru Chiba (Tuxedo Kamen) previously played by Tohru Furuya will be played by Kenji Nojima. The reboot, initially scheduled for 26-episodes, will premiere globally on NicoNico on July 5.
