Romanov Higa Announces New Project

The latest anime production from director director Romanov Higa (Catblue: Dynamite, TANK S.W.A.T. 01, Urda) was announced at the recent Tokyo International Anime Fair. Turd on the Run, named after a 1973 Rolling Stones song, will consist of 12 six-minute episodes to be released online beginning early this fall. The sci-fi suspense action story stars incarcerated serial killer “Holiday Ripper” in a future when capitol punishment has been replaced by a device that “jettisons escapee’s eyeballs from their sockets.”

So, Ol’ Blue Eyes in Catblue: Dynamite, and now another “eye” focused production referencing the Stones. Interesting.
