Right Stuf News from Otakon

At this past weekend’s Otakon convention, Right Stuf International announced its acquisition of translation rights to the Piano anime TV series and the Gravitation OAV series.

The Critical Mass line of adult anime announced distribution rights to the Gakuen no Syuryousya, Heisa Byouin and Onna Kyousi: Yumi no Houkago OAV series.

The “ultimate” Irresponsible Captain Tylor DVD boxed set scheduled for release next year will include 3 bonus DVDs containing 400 minutes of supplemental material.

In order to preserve the artistic and cultural integrity of the film, the live action Boogiepop & Others movie will be released in America in a subtitled only format.

At the present time, due to intense market competition, RSI has no plans to begin publishing English translated manga or Japanese genre novels.
