Right Stuf Announcements from Anime Expo

Due to delays caused by the massive amounts of Japanese text on screen in the Kareshi Kanojo no Jijoo TV series, Kare Kano has been delayed until spring 2002. However, there will be no digital editing or overlays used in the American release.

Right Stuf has plans to release their entire catalog on DVD, including the DVD premier of Astro Boy to coincide with the show’s 40th Anniversary. Unfortunately there is a possibility that not all the episodes will be released. Some of the episode masters are not in suitable condition to be transferred to DVD.

The Irresponsible Captain Tylor OVA series will be released on DVD later this year with a 5.1 English Soundtrack.
