Partial Broadcast of Wild Life Drama Announced

Following on the heels of an announcement that continued production of the live action TV series adaptation of Masato Fujisaki’s manga series Wild Life would be canceled, which was publicly announced shortly after the deaths of two giraffes that were filmed for the program, the NHK television network reportedly has now announced that the completed first two episodes of the drama will be broadcast as standalone episodes. Furthermore, the NHK television network has now stated that the decision to discontinue production on the program was not specifically a response to the deaths of two animals, but was made because of unspecified difficulties facing continued filming. The Wild Life episode featuring the two giraffes that died shortly after being filmed will not be broadcast.
