Otomo Assembling Another Anime Anthology

Akira & Steamboy creator Katsuhiro Otomo has announced the development of an anime anthology film titled “Short Peace.” The work will include Otomo’s own historical anime short “Hi no Youjin,” animated by Sunrise. Short Peace will premiere next year.

Otomo wrote the 1995 anime anthology film Memories and directed one of its three segments. Otomo also directed the opening and ending sequences of the 1987 anthology film Robot Carnival, and the final segment of the 1987 anthology film Manie Manie Meikyu Monogatari.
