Opening A Day
To refresh your memory or introduce you to an interesting opening animation sequence, I submit the opening of the 1989 Fushigi no Umi no Nadia television series. The opening theme is “Blue Water,” performed by Miho Morikawa.
This opening evokes so many fond otaku memories for me, and, I imagine, a lot of long-time anime fans.

Man, was Atlantis: The Lost Empire a bad remake of that show. 🙂
I’ve been watching this on-and-off for a couple years now… Episode #13, I think it is, has some of the best storyboarding I’ve ever seen.
Probably one of my favorite old-school OPs, which I rarely fail to skip over while watching the series like so many other OPs. Most of the complete OST is made of win as well..
