NISA To Omit KimiTodo Recap Episode

NIS America reports that its domestic DVD release of the Kimi ni Todoke anime series will not include the episode 16 recap episode. NISA explains that the episode was not included in the original Japanese DVD release and therefore was not included in NISA’s domestic distribution license. While the episode is included on the Japanese Blu-ray release, NISA has concluded that the expense and delay in production to include the episode, which contains very little exclusive animation & story, would be impractical. NISA’s second DVD volume of Kimi ni Todoke is scheduled for release on April 10.

While the inclusion of the episode would have been nice for completeness sake, it’s certainly not a big loss.
