Nintendo Confirms No Region Lock on Gameboy Advance

“GameSpot spoke with a [Nintendo] company spokesperson at the ongoing Tokyo Game Show 2001 Spring, who confirmed that GBA games can be played on units from any of the three major territories, North America, Europe, and Japan. The Game Boy Advance is already available in Japan. The North American launch is planned for June 11, followed by a European released June 22.”
