New York Anime Festival Announces Guests

The New York Anime Festival has announced that anime director Kobun Shizuno and American comic artist, cosplayer, and Japanese pop culture fan Aimee Major Steinberger will attend the event as guests of honor.

Kobun Shizuno has worked as assistant director on anime including Giant Robo, Burst Angel, and Elfen Lied, and is scheduled to direct an upcoming Fist of the North Star movie.

Aimee Major Steinberger is a professional animator and layout artist whose credits include work on The Simpsons and Futurama.

The New York Anime Festival will take place on December 7-9, 2007, at the Jacob K. Javits Center in Midtown Manhattan.
