New World Masterpiece Theater Anime Announced

Reportedly the next series in Nippon Animation’s long-running “World Masterpiece Theater” anime series will be “Porphy no Nagai Tabi” (The Long Journey of Porphyras), based on French author Paul-Jacques Bonzon’s 1955 children’s novel The Orphans of Simitra. The new series is scheduled to premier on January 6, 2008 at 7:30 PM on the BS Fuji network.
