New R2 DVDs with English Subs

CD Japan has stated that the stunning Five Star Stories movie from 1989 will be released to Japanese DVD with optional English subtitles on April 17th. The disc will retail for 3800 yen. AnimeNation can accept special order requests for this DVD, but be aware that this will be a DVD Region 2 disc not compatible with standard American DVD players.

Katsuhito (Sharkskin Man & Peach Hip Girl) Ishii’s live action action/comedy movie Party 7 is now available on 2 disc, special edition English optional subtitled DVD in Japan. The film includes several minutes of original animation by Peter Cheung.
