New Information on Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures US Release

Cindy Yamauchi, a representative of Super Techno Arts, the American branch of Japanese production studio A.P.P.P. has revealed through the Anime on DVD Forum that due to the split between Broccoli and Digital Manga, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures will not be distributed by Synch-Point and will not make it to the American market this summer as was originally hoped. The American version of the original OAV series has been confirmed to include a new “enhanced” soundtrack recorded in Dolby Digital 5.1 surround performed by original music composer Marco D’Ambrosio. The American version of the original series will also restore “1.5 min (give or take)” of deleted footage from the 6th episode created over 10 years ago when the series was still in production. Unfortunately, some of the character names that happen to be puns on American musical artists will have to be changed for the US release.
