New Evangelion CD on the Way

Continuing their efforts to squeeze every penny out of Evangelion that they can, Gainax will be releasing a special commemorative Evangelion CD titled “Evangelion: Birth of Rei Ayanami,” on March 30th. March 30th is both the birthday of Rei Ayanami, and the birthday of her voice actress, Megumi Hayashibara. This year, Megumi will be turning 34. The CD will feature instrumental background music from the series related to Rei, along with well known vocal songs from the series including the TV series opening & ending themes. AnimeNation already has this CD on order with our suppliers in Tokyo and should have it available for pre-order on the AnimeNation site shortly.
