New Details on Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures US Release

Super Techno Arts has announced, via their homepage, that Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures will be released in America late this year. “13 episodes will be available on total of 6 volumes, with sound and music upgraded to 5.1 surround system for the original 6 episodes.” The American release will include the 7 episode OAV series from 2000-2001 and the original 6 episode OAV series from 1993.

For American fans unfamiliar with Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures, it is a violent action adventure story best described as a supernatural Fist of the North Star. The original 6 episode OAV series, now nearly 10 years old, remains one of the most exciting and graphically violent anime series ever made.
