New Convention Guests

Takada Akemi will be joining Anime Expo as a Guest of Honor this year. Takada’s works include character design for Creamy Mami, Fancy Lala, and the series she is best know domestically for, Kimagure Orange Road and Patlabor. The convention will also host an exhibit of Takada’s original artwork.

Rumiko Takahashi, creator of Ranma ½, Inu- Yasha, Urusei Yatsura and Maison Ikkoku will attend Comic-Con International 2000 in San Diego, California on July 20-23. This is her second visit to the San Diego Comic Con, her first being in 1994. Also present at Comic-Con will be Gerard (The Haunted Man, The Trouble with Girls) Jones, the English rewriter of all Takahashi’s works, as well as Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and assorted Pokemon titles.
