New Anime in Production

An anime TV series adaptation of the Playstation life-sim adventure game Sister Princess will begin on April 4th. There’s no word yet on the exact plot of the television series, but the game made the player the “older brother” of 9 Japanese “little sister” girls and 3 foreign “little sisters.” Players would then coach and support the girls at school and home and take them to various parks and festivals in an attempt to raise kind and cultured young ladies.

Director Daichi Akitaro, whose recent works include Akihabara Cyber Team, Di-Gi-Charat, Ima Soku ni Iru Boku, Kaze Makase Tsukikage Ran and Jubei-chan, is working on a new OAV titled Kuromi-chan, about a young girl that gets a job in an anime studio, only to find that the work is much more stressful and difficult than she expected. The 40 minute comedy is scheduled for release on March 30th.
