Moyashimon Second Season Announced

The “Moyashimon Returns” anime television series will air in the Fuji TV network’s Noitamina block beginning this July. Masayuki Ishikawa’s award winning Moyashimon: Tales of Agriculture manga was first adapted into a Noitamina series in 2007, then a live-action re-make Noitamina series in 2010. The eleventh collected volume of Ishikawa’s ongoing manga was released in Japan yesterday.

Personally, I’ve never understood why this series is so beloved when the first anime series was so disjointed and schizophrenic, jumping from storyline to storyline, never deciding what type of story it wanted to be nor doing a fully satisfying job of telling any consistent story.
