More News on Adult Swim

In an interview with Pulp Culture, Cartoon Network spokesman Jim Babcock has revealed that the just announced “adult block” of programming scheduled to premier on the Cartoon Network on September 2nd will initially air on Tuesday and Sunday nights from 9 p.m. to midnight (CT) and may expand if response is positive. All of the initial programming with the exception of “Home Movies,” will be produced in house, by the Cartoon Network’s own animation studio. But Babcock mentioned that the Adult Swim block will not necessarily be limited to only Cartoon Network productions and would look outside of CN’s own animation studios for potential programming, including possibly anime.

TV Guide has published a brief article on the Adult Swim announcement that focuses on the reasoning behind the announcement and solidifies the reasoning behind some of the Cartoon Network’s broadcast choices.
