More Action Figure News from San Diego

Figures.com has put up shots of action figures that made an appearance at the San Diego Comic Con, including Escaflowne statues, Gundam Wing toys and kits, and Takara’s Votoms figures.

Fewture Model’s Devilman line and upcoming Shadow Lady statue, based on Masakazu Katsura’s manga, were on display. Fewture’s second line of Devil Man action figures was announced to include Akira Fudo, Ryo Asuka, Zenon, Satan, Miki, Zan, Mico, Psychogenie, Welvath and Zenotic Amon.

Kaiyodo figures, including Fists of the Northstar, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Trigun, and Virtual On, which will be released domestically through Diamond Distributors, were on display as well.

Palisades Marketing previewed prototypes and production art from their Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil and Soul Caliber lines, including an unpainted Mitsurugi figure.

Figures.com has a shot of an unpainted version of the upcoming Leen figure from D-Boy’s Dark Angel action figure line, based on the Kia Asamiya manga series. The Dark Angel figures will stand approximately 9.75 inches tall. Very small characters like Kyo and Shiki will be scaled to match Dark and Leen. They will be highly detailed and highly articulated. The figures will be blister packed on cards designed by Asamiya. Pricing will be under $10 a piece and will include Leen, Dark, Sen, and Tan.

Marco Polo Imports will be bringing over Oh! My Goddess action figures for a November release “just in time for the movie.” The figures are produced by the Japanese company Yellow Submarine.
