Media Blasters Acquires Dokuro-chan

Media Blasters CEO John Sirabella has revealed, on the Anime on DVD Forum, his company’s acquisition of translation and distribution rights to the Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan (“Beat to Death Angel Dokuro-chan”) anime series. Media Blasters has not clarified if its license covers only the original 4 episode series or includes the “Dokuro-chan Second” sequel 4 episode series.

Contrary to certain reports, Dokuro-chan does not consist of “13 minute episodes.” Each 30 minute episode has a 13 minute long “A part” and “B part” that were never released separately and do not have individual opening and ending credits.
