Manga Still Tops American Bookstore Sales

The latest BookScan survey of mainstream American bookstores reports that, once again, 47 out of the 50 best selling graphic novels in America are translated manga. The chart is currently topped by Fruits Basket volume 4.

The highest-ranking American title was Alan Moore and Kevin O’Neill’s League of Extraordinary Gentlemen volume 2, which came in at #20. The other American books that made the top fifty were the latest Foxtrot collection, which came in at #38, and Brian Michael Bendis’ Ultimate Spider-Man volume 10, which held down the fiftieth spot.
