Manga Details from A-kon

Even though it is past the due date, Manga will still switch the defective Macross Plus DVDs for the correct versions. In the first week alone, Manga received 300 defective discs, so if many of you have been waiting a while for your replacement discs, the delay has been due to Manga waiting to receive more copies themselves. In terms of release dates, the Patlabor Movie 1 DVD is on target for a July 25th release. The disc should have plenty of extras, including three Easter eggs. The Wings of Honneamise DVD has been delayed until an uncertain date, but the disc will have two subtitled audio commentary tracks from the film’s creative staff. The first VHS tape of the Magic Knights Rayearth OAV series will come out on August 29. The DVD release, which should happen before the end of the year, should have all three volumes on one disc. Manga will not be using the same voice actors as Media Blasters used for the TV series. The Evangelion movies are tied up in contractual negotiations with the licensors, so a tentative release date is still up in the air.
