Manga Announcements from San Diego Comic Con

At the recent San Diego Comic Con, Manga Entertainment announced that it is co-producing a new anime series with Studio APPP (Honey & Clover, Risky Safety). The new anime is described as a sci-fi adventure set in fedual Japan and featuring a large female cast surrounding one male protagonist.

Karas DVD volume 2 has been delayed until June 2007. The domestic release of volume 1 has shipped 150,000 units so far.

Manga is currently negotiating for distribution rights to Gainax’s remastered “Renewal Version” Evangelion movies.

Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex – Solid State Society is tentatively planned for a summer 2007 American release.
