Lupin Strikes Shibuya

As part of the NTV television network’s new “Lupin Steal Japan” promotional campaign, manga master thief Lupin the 3rd has “stolen” the large “Moyai,” (“work together” in Niijima Island dialect) statue normally located at the northeast exit of the Shibuya train station in Tokyo. In it’s place is the message from Lupin, “I’ve stolen the Moyai.” Visitors to the “Steal Japan” website are now invited to suggest other Japanese icons for Lupin to “steal.”
