Lady Death Update

Andy Orjuela of ADV Films has informed Comics Continuum that the animated Lady Death movie is on track for a Halloween 2001 release. “The script is completed. It was written by Carl Macek,” Orjuela said. “It’s very close to the comic. The designs are 90 percent done. Backgrounds are being done, and the storyboards are in development.” The movie was originally scheduled for a March 2001 release, but Orjuela said the production process was “stopped and revamped.” Orjuela said he will probably be directing the English dubbing and that the movie will be voice-recorded in Houston, home of ADV Films. “Casting will begin in a couple of months,” he said. “Since the script is complete, we’re kind of hoping to get L.A. talent. The casting for Lady Death herself will be very will be very tedious.”
