Kyoshinhei Appears Online

Studio Ghibli has released a teaser for creator Hideaki Anno’s short film “Kyoshinhei Tokyo ni Arawaru” (Giant God Warrior Appears in Tokyo). The stop-motion & practical effects short movie is inspired by the “Giant God Soldiers” of Studio Ghibli’s 1984 movie Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind. The short film was created to publicize the “Kanchou Anno Hideaki Tokusatsu Hakubutsukan” (Curator Hideaki Anno’s Special Effects Museum) exhibit at Tokyo’s Museum of Contemporary Art. The exhibition will run from July 10 to October 8, and will screen the full-length short film.
