Kamisama Hajimemashita Anime Announced

This week’s new issue of Hana to Yume magazine will formally announce the development of a TV anime based on Julietta Suzuki’s 2008 and ongoing shoujo manga Kamisama Hajimemashita (Nice to Meet You, God). Kodomo no Omocha & Fruits Basket director Akitaro Daichi will helm the series about a homeless girl taken in by a god who resides in a local Shinto shrine. TMS Entertainment (Detective Conan, Lupin III) will produce the animation.

This sounds like a perfect fit for Akitaro Daichi considering how similar the original concept is to Fruits Basket.
