Jet Li Set as Kato

Word has it that Jet Li has finally signed on to play Kato in Universal Pictures forever-in-the-works Green Hornet movie. According to Variety columnist Michael Fleming, Li will pull in $5.2 million plus 5% of the film’s gross for taking the role once played and made famous by the late Bruce Lee. The columnist also reports that writer Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects) is at work on the film’s script. The studio is looking to fill the film’s lead role with a young actor.
