According to Cinescape Magazine, not only has Miramax Films secured the American distribution and re-make rights to Japanese action/horror film director Ryuhei Kitamura’s small canon, Miramax has contracted the director himself to work on American film projects for the studio. Kitamura’s 2000 breakthrough film Versus is a popular favorite among cult film fans (and one of this editor’s favorite movies of all time).
