Japan Digital Animation Festival 2001

The Japan Digital Animation Festival (JDAF) 2001 is currently sponsoring a world-wide digital animation competition until March 30th in preparation for the JDAF convention in Nagoya, Japan to be held on May 18 & 19.

The competition judges will include notable figures in the field of CG animation including Mamoru Oshii, director of Ghost In The Shell & Avalon, Tom Sito, who was named in Animation Magazine’s 1996 list of 100 most important people in the animation industry for his work on such films as The Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast & The Prince of Egypt, and Mitsuhisa Ishikawa, producer of Ghost in the Shell & the Evangelion movies.
