I Am a Hero Movie Announced

Princess Blade & Gantz director Shinsuke Sato’s next film will be a live-action adaptation of Kengo Hanazawa’s best-selling zombie “survival panic horror” manga I Am a Hero. Actor Yo Oizumi will star as “Hideo,” an assistant manga artist who struggles to survive a zombie outbreak in Tokyo. The ongoing manga premiered in 2009 and won the general manga prize from last year’s Shogakukan Manga Awards. The film will begin shooting this month for a 2015 premiere.
