Hayao Miyazaki Named One of World’s 10 Best Directors

England’s Guardian Newspaper has published its subjective list of the world’s 40 best currently active motion picture directors. Hayao Miyazaki is placed at 8th. Quentin Tarantino is ranked 17th. Takeshi Kitano is ranked 30th. Larry and Andy Wachowski place 35th. And Takashi Miike ranks 38th for his, “Casual technical brilliance and total disregard for [good] taste.”
