Gundress on Video

Gundress, originally released theatrically in Japan of March 1999, finally has a home-video release scheduled. The film was released to the rental-only market on June 9th and will be released to the Japanese sell-through market on DVD only on September 22 with a retail price of 4,700 yen. The cyberpunk action film is Masamune Shirow’s most recent work in animation. Shirow provided the basic “landmate” mecha and character designs for this story about a team of professional women “bouncers.”
