Ghost in the Shell 2 Boxed Set Released

Our Japanese suppliers have informed us that the limited edition Ghost in the Shell 2 Solid Box has sold out in Japan. Released in very limited quantities by Kodansha, the Ghost in the Shell 2: Man-Machine Interface Solid Box included a new, hardcover pressing of the original GiTS manga, a collection of the chapters of the GiTS 2 manga that have been completed so far, a paper-craft fuchikoma, stickers and other bonus material. According to our distributors in Japan, this special package was released in such limited quantities that even Japanese distributors could not fill all of their pre-orders for sales to Japanese manga and anime fans. Of course, AnimeNation will continue in our efforts to secure copies of this boxed set, or import copies of any future printings of the Ghost in the Shell 2 manga, but looks as though the Solid Box will be unavailable to us.
