Gainax Announces Evangelion Life-Sim Game

Gainax has announced “Neon Genesis Evangelion: Ayanami Raising Project” for release on May 18th, with a retail price of 8800 yen. The Windows 95/98 PC game places the player in the role of a Nerv employee responsible for caring for Rei Ayanami. “The player’s role is to ‘educate’ Rei Ayanami by planning out her schedule, week by week.” Players can mold Rei into a cheerful, outgoing girl, a juvenile delinquent, or even make her fall in love with the player. The game will include over 30 different endings and multiple scenes that will only occur under particular circumstances, offering great replay value. GameWatch has posted screenshots of the game, as well as a trailer in narrowband low quality and broadband high quality.
