Ain’t It Cool News has come up with a review of the upcoming domestic version of Godzilla 2000. If you like monster movies for their bad dubbing and humor value, Godzilla 2000 sounds like it will be right up your alley.

In other Godzilla news Toho has stated that the official English title of the newest Gojira film is Godzilla X Megagiras. This also applies to the official spelling of the villain as Megagiras, not the earlier Megaguiras. The film wraps its initial production August 16 or 17th. Post production finishes in October.

Rumors are afoot that after Godzilla X Megagiras, the Gojira series will take a year long hiatus while Shusuke Kaneko, director of the 1990s Gamera trilogy, develops a new Godzilla film. Those of you who have seen the excellent new Gamera films, relative to all of the poor Gojira films since Godzilla Vs. Space Godzilla, will recognize the potentially fantastic news here.
