FUNimation Sales On The Rise

During an October 31 conference call with shareholders, Navarre Corporation CEO Gary Deacon announced that Navarre revenue during the second quarter of the 2009 financial year, July to September 2008, was 18.5% higher than second quarter 2007, partially because of, “significant increases in sales of anime content.” Navarre’s publishing division, which includes FUNimation, Encore and BCI, saw a 6.5% net sales increase, from $27.0 million last year to this year’s $28.8 million. The increase was primarily driven by FUNimation’s acquisition of new titles and increased digital distribution.
