FUNimation Announcements from Anime Expo

FUNimation officially announced at last weekend’s Anime Expo convention that it has licensed Detective Conan for American release, a series previously passed over by Twentieth Century Fox as “too violent” for American childrens’ television. FUNimation currently owns distribution rights to the first 104 TV episodes and the first two theatrical movies.
