Fox’s Word on the Status of Escaflowne

A representative at Fox has confirmed for Anime News Service that a decision has been made to temporarily put the weekly broadcast of Escaflowne on hold with no presently determined date set to resume the broadcast.. A number of TV listings show this Saturday’s (October 21st) episode, number 11 in the series, “Prophecy Of Doom,” as the last scheduled episode. The Fox Kids Representative cited no reasons behind the move. The majority of animated series that are put on hold by Fox do not return to the air.
