Final Initial D Anime Announced

Publisher Kodansha has announced that Shuichi Shigeno’s Initial D auto-racing manga will get a second anime feature film titled “Shin Gekijouban Initial D” (Initial D New Movie) next summer. Furthermore, the climax of the long-running manga will be adapted into an “Initial D: Final Stage” anime series. Shigeno’s popular manga premiered in 1995 and is scheduled to conclude on July 29.

A “Final Stage” anime series will be very welcome after last year’s “Fifth Stage” TV series concluded with a non-ending.
