DVD Vision Japan has published an extensive interview with TOKYOPOP’s John Parker, Mike Kiley, and Kristien Brada Thompson. The interview discusses, among other points, TOKYOPOP’s status as not an anime company but a “character based entertainment products” company, TOKYOPOP’s stance on “interpreting” rather than “translating” Japanese imports and their explanation for the alterations made to Initial D, and copyright problems with the title “Reign.”
