Eureka 7 Movie Announced

Anime News Network reports that the May issue of Japan’s Newtype Magazine will confirm that animation studio Bones will produce a Eureka 7 motion picture. Reportedly the film’s storytelling will differ from the way Bones’ produced the Rahxephon movie. The Eureka 7 movie will still star TV series protagonists Renton and Eureka, but will introduce a new Eureka 7 “mythos.”

This sure sounds like an “Escaflowne movie” approach to me. It’s not a condensed re-make of the TV series the way the Rahxephon movie was. It sounds like it’s going to be a self-contained alternate continuity version of Eureka 7.
