Down to Hell DVD Announced

Down to Hell, the 45 minute long amateur debut film from Ryuhei Kitamura, the director of Versus, has been scheduled for Japanese DVD release on November 22nd at a retail price of 3990 yen. The 1996 film was shot in 10 days with a budget of only roughly 300 US dollars but went on to win grand prize in the first Japanese internet based “Indies Movie Festival” competition. Versus was originally planned as a sequel to Down to Hell.

While the Japanese DVD version of Versus contains an optional English language subtitle track, Down to Hell has not been announced to include any English translation.
