Dolly Kanon Drama Announced

A live-action series based on the Dolly Kanon shoujo manga by Yu Yabuuchi will premiere on July 3. The 7 episodes plus one spin-off episode will be released on bonus DVD included in monthly issues of Ciao Magazine and streamed online. 16-year-old actress Haori Takahashi (Perfect Blue) will play the middle school boy who inadvertently cross-dresses to become a popular female idol singer. Creator Yu Yabuuchi’s previous Mizuiro Jidai and Naisho no Tsubomi manga were both adapted into anime.
